Sarastus (Dawn) is one of my favourite artworks that I finished to join my latest Birds - series during an artist residency in 2024. This acrylic painting on canvas was exhibited at Art Center Salmela for the summer of 2024, and it is one of the biggest artworks I painted for the series. In the painting I have hidden tens of birds into the half abstract figure to symbolise delicate messages, sensitivity and longing for nature. As common to my artwork, the figure in this painting is moving - going through the interminable metamorphosis of life. Sarastus is a 154 cm x 140 cm sized acrylic painting that is living it`s new life in a private collection in Finland.
About the bag:
This unique tote bag is made with 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester canvas, so they are good for the earth and perfect for eco-conscious art lovers. The long handles of the bag with reinforced cross-stitching add great durability while the shaping seam at the bottom creates space and volume.
